We are the IHSA Club Team for UNCW! We are in Zone 4 Region 3.
Here at UNCW Equestrian, we aim to provide students with the opportunity to enhance their riding skills, foster good horsemanship, and cultivate a close-knit community. Members will take lessons, attend horse shows, volunteer, participate in social events, and have fun!

What is IHSA?
IHSA is the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association. The divisions include:

Introductory: beginner walk, trot

Pre-Novie: beginner walk, trot, canter

Novice: advanced walk, trot, canter

Limit: flat and fences

The club is structured into two different commitment levels: Team and Club.

The Team is more involved, requiring a minimum of one lesson per week and showing. At the beginning of the year, a placement ride is held so our coaches can determine which division will be the best fit for you. This decision will also be based on previous experiences and skill level.

The Club does not include any riding activities, but that doesn't mean there's no involvement! Club members are welcome to join social events, attend shows, and volunteer at the barn.
